Main problem is that it does not lock into the Dyson slot/catch for the attached tools.Would not have ordered if I knew it would not stay attached to the vacuum cleaner.

Compact, bagless, seems to create great suction.Just one problem: the carpet attachment included with this model is narrow and pathetic.I've used my share of vacuums over the years, but I've never seen anything like this.I measure it at 9" across, which means you have to make a lot more passes to cover your floor than other vacuums you've probably used.It's also very lightweight, and rests fairly high on a wheel where it joins the wand, so that it tends to skitter across the carpet rather than aggravating it.This is on normal, tufted wall-to-wall carpet.You can get it to work if you apply downward pressure on the handle while vacuuming.Takes forever.I checked the dyson website, and no other motorhead seems to be available.In short, if you have hardwood, buy the "turbine" (air-powered) version of this.If you have carpet, avoid it like the plague.
I bought the dyson dc24 all floors vacuum factory serviced at abc Vacuum Warehouse. The item was shipped same day I ordered it and arrived on time. The vacuum is just about new and comes with a six month warrenty from Dyson and 21/2 years from Abc Vacuum warehouse. The appliance runs well the only thing is that the cord is too short and you will probably need an extension. all in all I am a satisfied customer.
I ordered this replacement hose for my Dyson after calling the company directly and finding out they can't sell to customers in New York State due to tax complications.Dyson referred me to a business called Factory Direct which could sell it to me, but the price was $20 more than Dyson's $39.xx.So I purchased this item on Amazon expecting it to be--as described--a 'Dyson' DC07 hose.
Gotta like this.In an ill-conceived effort to "help", I vacuumed up some crumbs around our stove.There was a rebel crumb holing up near the stove top burner, and well, you guessed it, the burner was still warm and it warped the Dyson brush attachment.I ordered this new one to replace it.This is a better product--the bristles are longer and softer.Probably not heat resistant, but I'm not going to test that.
Our ~4 year old Dyson decided to stop working (would not stay on when on/off button released).Purchased a new switch, installed it in 5 minutes and everything is fine.Saved myself a $100 repair bill, but then again - I've never had a vacuum cleaner switch fail before!
If you only have one..buy an extra..the filter must be completely dry or the smell will drive you out of the house. New filter - no smell. Now I have one dry and ready when i wash the dirty one.
Had it two years, most frustrating thing is that is basically an excellent product but that it could be SO MUCH BETTER with a few minor adjustments - wait for the upgraded version!!!
