Generic Dyson DC17 Lifetime Filter Review

I had initially ordered this product based on the picture because my present filter looks exactly like it but when the actual filter arrived it was the wrong one.It did not have the (6 and the tap)on it like the picture, it was white and much larger. However I returned it and made sure to place my next order based on my vacuum's product number. Eventually the correct filter was mailed to me, Filter Part #911685-01. Filter #911685-01 is exactly like the picture, therefore I wish that they would put the correct picture for corresponding filter because that picture DOES NOT accurately represent Filter Part #911236-01.

Dyson DC-17 Washable Filter, Dyson Part # 911236-01This is the washable filter for the Dyson DC17 models only. This will fit both Dyson DC17 Animal, as well as the Dyson DC17 Asthma and Allergy models. This filter is located directly underneath of the dust bin when it has been removed from the vacuum. You can find the filter by finding where the air is being exhausted. This filter should be replaced at least every 3 months. If you notice that your Dyson has lost some of the suction since you've had it, cleaning the filter should be the first place to start.
